1. Who controls your data
Meir Tech Ltd (company number NI672856, registered office Unit 2 Channel Wharf, 21 Old Channel Road, Belfast, Northern Ireland, BT3 9DE) is the data controller for personal data processed through Amplify, for the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. What we collect
- Account data: name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).
- Profile data: for Performers — roles, genres, fees, travel radius, availability, bio; for Venues — venue name, type, area, typical budget, contact name.
- Booking data: gigs posted, applications, offers, confirmed bookings, Gig Pack details, cancellations.
- Messages: content of messages sent between users through Amplify’s messaging feature.
- Payment data: Stripe processes and stores your card and bank details on our behalf — we do not receive or store your full card number. We do retain records of transaction amounts, dates, and status.
- Usage data: standard technical data (IP address, browser type, device) and in-app event logs (e.g. sign-up completed, gig posted) used to operate and improve the Service.
3. Why we process your data
- To perform our contract with you — creating your account, matching Venues and Performers, processing payments, sending booking-related notifications.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the Service secure, preventing fraud, understanding usage to improve the product.
- Legal obligation — retaining transaction records for tax and accounting purposes.
- Consent — for any optional marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data with the following processors, each acting under contract to us:
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Supabase Inc. — database hosting and account authentication.
- Resend — sending transactional emails (confirmations, notifications, invites).
- Vercel Inc. — application hosting; standard request logs (including IP address) pass through it to serve the Service.
We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Amplify, our users, or the public.
5. International transfers
Some of our processors (including Stripe and Supabase) may store or process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers maintain (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to ensure your data remains protected to UK standards.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and booking data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time — see your rights below.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate data;
- Request erasure of your data (subject to legal retention requirements);
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Receive your data in a portable format;
- Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we have mishandled your data.
